I remember, around 2 years ago I have read some short articles about motivation, persistence and discipline. Discipline, that sounds quite harsh – here was my thought. Nearly like being in the army or something…
I remember I was thinking – why should I limit myself t and stop doing things that I like-that bring me joy, pleasure and fun. Surely that what discipline means, right?

Wrong!

Since I started reading biographies and stories of successful people, one thing stands out – they do things that lead them to the achievement of their goals. Some of the things are those that they don’t like doing but they do it anyway. They understand that being disciplined to do what needs to be done must be done, whether they like it or not.
This is a great discovery for me; suddenly I have realised why my goals have not been accomplished. It is not just forgetting about them. It is simply not taking continuous action that would lead me to it.

So now I am disciplining myself in many areas. I started quite slow, by trying to focus on one thing. And then, amazing things happened. I realised that I have become disciplined in other parts of my life. And it feels great!
It is like a self-fulfilling prophecy of Jim Rohn: ‘One change leads to another. And when you feel good about yourself and start to make the turn to do something you’ve never done before, it starts to work. And then you get excited about changing other areas of your life as well’.

Decide today what you are going to do and discipline yourself to stick to it.
Only you can do it.
Only you can discipline yourself to make what you need to do to achieve your goals.
And then your life will become amazing – just like the life you have always dreamt of.
