I know, I know. It is easy to say don’t give up.
Have you ever had days that everything went wrong? of course you have. Everyone has those days. Days, that make you feel like your whole life is a mistake and a failure, and it’s time to grow up!
But what does that mean? Please, think about it.
You have your dreams, plans for the future, goals, desires…. you have a vision in your head. Sometimes you sit on the sofa late at night and dream about the life you want. you close your eyes – suddenly you have everything you need in life with a great feeling of being in control. You know what you want and how to get it.
And what happens then? You tell yourself to ‘grow up’! You tell yourself to stop dreaming and get back to the reality. Today was a complete failure. You were supposed to be good with food – you overate. You were supposed to be frugal today – you overspent. You were supposed to exercise – you did not. You blew everything you planned and the day is over!
But wait a minute – moments like this are the best to start – You are aware of what needs to be done (while most people still lives in denial, waiting to be saves or fixed by somebody else) and you know what went wrong. Learn from it. Identify the triggers: what made you over eat, over spend, etc? What can you do better when you wake up the next day?
Remember, that “tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes in to us at midnight very clean. It’s perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands, and hopes we’ve learned something from yesterday.” (John Wayne).
Somebody said that the struggle of today is the strength of tomorrow. Do not beat yourself up!
Follow Winston Churchill’s advice: “Never give up. Never, never give up”.
Give yourself a chance!
To your happiness…
