Everybody has turning events in their lives. But it’s up to us to decide if we want to act upon them or not.
Such events give you a sleepless night; drill your brain from inside, and do not allow concentrating on anything else. It is a decision making time. Some people make this decision when in their twenties, some when they are fifty. And most people don’t make any decisions at all.
Don’t let that happen to you.
Happiness is a choice. A choice you have to make and then do what is necessary to achieve it. Whatever happiness means to you, it is worth to pursue.
I read in a book one day:”Your life is exactly as you want it to be right now. Everything in your life is a result of your own decision, actions and a mind-set”. I must say that shocked me. It was last year in June. That time I also had three turning points in my life (details are not important). That is when I decided it was time to be Happy.
I made a decision to design the life of my dreams.
It was time to focus on what I wanted. I started with defining my priorities and values. Then I set my Goals and started to make plans to accomplish them. I also identified gaps in my knowledge and skills (required to achieve my goals), so I committed myself to education and learning. Over the last year I read more books than in the previous 10 years. I started listening audio programs and taking seminars (mostly online). I took a closer look at my health – I started regular exercises and I am in a process of changing my nutrition habits. I focus on spending time with my family – house chores and everything else always can wait.
Last year I did not know what I want to do, what I wanted I life, and how my future is going to look like. Today, I am truly looking forward to the future – it is going to be amazing. I will make it amazing. I and my family will make it amazing.
Look out for your turning points (if you had not got them already). Remember – you are responsible for your life. Nobody else really cares.
But if you are not willing to put an effort and take charge of your life, then stop complaining.
To your Happiness…
